*Special thanks to Bobbi Newman for allowing us to use a modified version of her directions!*
PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE EDITING (AND FOLLOW THEM) THANK YOU.
Anyone who is currently enrolled in library school can participate. You may share your day (or week) on your blog, Twitter, Flickr and/or YouTube Channel (or any other web-based-way you choose). If you have none of these don't worry, just create a new page here in the wiki and post your day there. Once you decided on your format(s)
- Create a PB works account (it's free)!
- Edit this page (do not steal the lock from someone else!) BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DELETE OR EDIT ENTRIES OF OTHERS.
- Create a new row after the last one in the table below (upper right of the edit pane - Table - Row - Insert Row After)
- Add the next number
- Add your name
- Your degree (MLS? MLIS? MA?) and expected month and year of graduation
- Your program
- Country - so we know where you are!
- State, city, etc. - break it down further if you like
- A link to your blog, Twitter, Flickr and/or YouTube account. Please, please, please do not paste the full URL, use code (like with tinyurl or bitly) to make shorter. Thank you!
- When you are done hit SAVE, so that someone else may edit the page.
- Start capturing your day!
- For bloggers: At the beginning of each post explain why you're capturing your day and link back here to the wiki. Be sure to include the name of your program.
- Tag your stuff with #HLSDITL
- After your first post come back and edit this page to add a link directly to your tagged posts or photos or video.

I also tweet a bit about my position at Barnard College Archives as Photo Collection Fellow and my internship at New York Public Library's Manuscripts & Archives Division as Archival Processing Intern. I completed my coursework in August and am finishing up my MLIS in a year long, full-time practicum as the Library Supervisor at the Florida State University Florence Study Center. Unfortunately, October 28 - November 1 is our fall break, so I will not be working during that time and will have turned in my internship course assignments. But! I'll still be participating in HLSDITL through queued tumblr posts that capture my days in gifs for October 20-25. I'll also be tweeting a little bit about my real time days while I'm traveling if/when there is something related to libraries and following along with the hashtag. |
